Time After Time was a durational karaoke performance series and exhibition at Lane Meyer Projects from December 6, 2024 to January 18, 2025. The exhibition took place over eight performances, each anchored by the art collective Adam GG and the Right on Time. Performers and attendees sang a single time-themed karaoke song each night on loop for 4 hours and 33 minutes, starting at 4:33 PM—a nod to John Cage’s iconic silent composition. Pulling on tensions between vulnerability, vanity, isolation and communal catharsis, this endurance-based encounter explored the fluidity between the absurd and profound, using repetition as the medium.
